The first eight seconds matter

Thoughts on making a game intro feel like it belongs to the game.

I want the start of WestCose World to feel like an actual game, not a web demo loading a Three.js scene.

The hard part is getting the tone right. It needs the rough coastal, skate, and zombie attitude of WestCose. If the intro looks too realistic or generic, it stops feeling connected to the rest of the world.

The approach I'm exploring is short and graphic. Strong silhouettes, movement, sound, and a final sticker-slap moment. Something you remember without sitting through a twenty-second logo reveal every time.

The sequence is still an art direction test.
